Family Room
Main gathering room with a floor-to-mantel stone fireplace and a wall of windows to the yard. Staged with a deep sofa, velvet accent chairs, and a low wood table so the seating reads warm without crowding the fireplace.
A gated, custom-built Stamford Colonial with soaring ceilings, custom millwork, and multiple fireplaces. We staged the main living spaces and the vaulted primary suite in an elevated transitional style: warm neutrals, natural wood, and soft drapery that matches the scale of the home.
A gated, custom-built Stamford Colonial with over 6,500 square feet of living space, soaring ceilings, custom millwork, and multiple fireplaces. We staged the main living spaces and the vaulted primary suite in an elevated transitional style that matches the scale of the home: warm neutrals, natural wood, and soft drapery throughout. Delivered with zero revisions.
The home was beautifully rebuilt and shown completely empty. At this price point, buyers are imagining a lifestyle as much as a floor plan, and bare rooms make them do all of that work themselves. Empty rooms also photograph cold and flat, which is the last thing a high-end listing needs.
The spaces are large and architectural: a family room anchored by a floor-to-mantel stone fireplace, a formal living and dining room in full wainscoting, a primary suite under a vaulted, beamed ceiling, and a vaulted bonus great room that needed to read as real living space rather than an empty volume. Furniture had to be sized to the rooms, not to a catalog, or it would look lost.
Each room got its own design pass before we staged a single piece. We chose one elevated transitional direction for the whole project so the home would feel coherent: warm neutrals, natural wood, linen and velvet textiles, and soft drapery on the larger windows to bring the ceilings down to a human scale.
The family room kept the stone fireplace as the hero and built a warm seating group around it. The formal living and dining rooms were staged to show how the home hosts: a calm conversational layout in one, a six-seat table set under the chandelier in the other. The vaulted primary suite got a king bed, layered bedding, and a quiet sitting corner so the volume reads as luxury rather than emptiness. The bonus great room was the biggest swing: it went from a blank vaulted box to a media lounge with a full sectional, so buyers see usable square footage instead of guessing at it.
Elevated transitional throughout. Warm whites, greiges, and soft greens, with natural wood and a mix of linen and velvet. Drapery was added where the windows were tall to warm the rooms and frame the views. The same palette runs through every room so the home feels like one designed place at every scale.
